The materials
Cast iron
The Nordica-Extraflame renowned for having always used Ghisa for the production of its stoves of remarkable quality. Thanks to the physical and chemical properties of the material allows to keep the shapes unaltered, cast iron is the perfect material for the stoves: excellent resistance to heat and at the same time is incredibly resistant and does not fear impact, suitable to spread the heat for a long time even once the stove is switched off. It is also environmentally friendly as it is completely recyclable. For the products in the range, the glazed finish is proposed, which guarantees an aesthetics with unlimited duration and with minimum maintenance, or painted.
Steel
For the La Nordica-Extraflame products, special steel is used, incredibly resistant and able to last over time without altering its physical and chemical characteristics giving the stove considerable resistance both for the structural elements and for some braziers where high temperatures require a material with very high thermal resistance and long life to guarantee the best performance.
Ceramic Glass
To guarantee a high standard of quality that distinguishes these stoves, La Nordica-Extraflame continues to invest in the use of ceramic glass which is able to have the highest visual quality, resistant to heat and therefore incredibly safe at the same time. Compared to normal glass, the ceramic glass undergoes a minimal thermal expansion that can be considered almost zero, so as not to be deformed due to heat and to be an indispensable material for all fireplaces and stoves, where slabs are applied not only flat but thanks to new development and production techniques also angled, rounded or even three-dimensional and in various sizes.

Handmade processing. The Nordica-Extraflame, in the constant search for the best quality, has chosen for its products the majolica coating that guarantees an excellent heat accumulation, yielded in the environment with continuity uniformity. The majolica is the result of a high quality craftsmanship. The long processing cycle (two weeks) necessary to obtain a majolica, even if using the newest technological supports to guarantee total quality, must be carried out completely by hand. The result is that each majolica is a beautiful piece, unique and unrepeatable and the particularities that can be found on every single majolica such as crazing, punctuation and shading are the guarantee.
